I’m trying something new. I believe this could give me a boost in achieving my long term $90 million goal. Through helping my teenage daughter develop more efficient study habits, I’ve recently come across several videos about the 5am Club and decided to give it a try.
The concept is pretty straightforward: Get up early, preferably at 5am Exercise vigorously (or at least enough to build a sweat) for 20 minutes Meditate for 20 minutes Lastly, do something mentally stimulating. This makes sense to me. The exercise portion helps to get your blood flowing. The meditation piece helps to prepare you to focus and organize your thoughts to plan out your day. And, if you get up super early you have that quiet time to do deep work.
I'm on my second day with this new routine. I woke up at 5:40am, jumped rope for about 10 minutes, lifted weights and did push-ups for 10 minutes, meditated, then memorized 100 digits of pi. I’ll try this for at least 30 days (weekdays) and see what comes of it. In this choppy market, I need all the help, focus, and clarity that I can get.
